Karlie has always impressed me, not only with her stunning dresses, but also her approach to making each garment. Karlie is professional but also laid back and easy to communicate with. Every design is always unique and flattering, and each time I put on one of her dresses I am bombarded with compliments. I have been lucky enough to have worn Karlie’s designs not only to my own formal and other occasions, but also in her numerous fashion parades. Each garment is sewn beautifully and with care, and fabrics are only of the best quality.
Working with karlie has made me rethink buying clothes off the rack, as I know that she will create the perfect design for me, that will be unique and eye catching. She continues to impress me with her sewing ability and beautiful personality. I thought having a dress tailor made would be a hassle, but she made it incredibly easy, and i was more than impressed with the end result.

I have worked with Karlie Jay over the past three years. She has created a number of outfits for me, mainly race wear, which have all been beautiful, well made and have possessed her unique ladylike touch. I enjoy working with Karlie Jay because she understands what a woman looks for in an outfit, and also has the skills to put an idea into reality. Karlie's designs and craftsmanship helped me to win the Cairns Amateurs Ladies Day Open Fashions on the Field 2008, as well as Open Ladies Classic Racewear at the Townsville Cup, 2008, as well as numerous fashions on the field finals.
Her skill and attention to detail are of a very high standard, as well as her understanding of current fashion trends. It is these qualities, as well as her natural ability to know how a finished garment will look, that makes me highly reccommend Karlie Jay to any woman wishing to create an outfit that will look and feel truly special.

Although I wouldn't consider myself to be a 'Bridezilla', the benefit of hindsight leads me to believe that there were definite tendencies bubbling beneath the surface back in 2008.
Thankfully I had employed the services of Karlie Jay to handle my pre-nuptial insanity while making my wedding gown. As I completely lost my mind over song choices, floating candles and the price of champagne, I trusted that if all else failed I would look stunning in my Karlie Jay creation as I watched everything fall apart around me. As it turned out everything was perfect on the day, and my gown, painstakingly pressed and made to measure was equally so.
Karlie Jay is an instinctive designer, mature beyond her years with a talent and flair for creating precisely what her client desires. Her professional approach and true understanding of how a garment should be put together coupled with her delightful personality offers the perfect ingredients for fashion design with outstanding results.
The spectacular full moon on September 15th 2008 paled in comparison to my fabulous gown.

I recently got married and knew nothing really except for the exact colours and length of the dresses I wanted for my five beautiful bridesmaids. Karlie-Jay helped me through the process from searching for the fabrics, colours, designs and accessories. Getting five maids together from all over the state was always going to be difficult by Karlie worked with us and our situation, dedicating so much time to getting the dresses perfect for each friend. The final design was just lovely for all my gorgeous friends, suiting all of their body shapes. My bridesmaids certainly looked stunning but also commented on how nice it was to wear a dress especially designed for them. They were all definitely show stoppers on the day and I was so pleased with the result. Thanks Karlie-Jay for making my bridesmaids feel and look so special on our wedding day."

I’ve had Karlie Jay design and make various outfits including race wear, formal dresses and my birthday dress. When it comes to fashion I have no idea and Karlie was so easy to talk to and just got my style down to a tee. All of my outfits make me feel feminine without being to girlie.

After being involved in the Fashion Bash in 2007 as a model, sitting back watching the designers, there was one that really stood out for me. It was nearing the time of my Year 12 Graduation i made sure i got the name of this modern designer. I picked out a dress, and emailed a photo to Karlie Jay designs. Although i was from Townsville, my family decided i needed this dress and it was worth the drive up to Mossman to Karlie Jay studios. The results were amazing! It fit absolutely perfect and i felt like a princess as every girl should on their formal night! I had so many comments and photographers asked to use the dress in photo shoots still to this day.
Being so impressed with Karlie’s work at my formal, when it came to The Townsville Racing Carnival, which fell on my 18th birthday, i didn’t think twice as to who i wanted to make it. Within the week i had the most amazing Races outfit i could have imagined and yet again it was a perfect fit! The comments i got were amazing! I am now looking forwards to next years Races where i already have my eye on another one of Karlie Jay designs!
I would recommend Karlie Jay to anyone, for any occasion. Everyone deserves to feel amazing and that’s exactly what Karlie's designs do, her professional manor and easy going personality make every purchase amazing. I will continue to shop with Karlie for many more years, and my little sister is already raving about how Karlie will make her formal dress as well!

"It's not very often that a girl looks back on her formal night and is completely happy with her outfit. I look back and I am though. My dress was exactly what I wanted it to be. I didn't want to stop wearing it after the formal! The sewing was so neat that it would be hard to find a stitch out of place. It was complimentary and the two sections made it sit well and easy to wear. The colours went really well with the style. Getting my dress made was the best decision yet. It was really so beautiful and made my night."

“Well every one of your outfits that I have worn is very well fitted, even though I wasn't really measured for the outfit. They all look beautiful on and off so you can't really go wrong! Just by looking at a picture, the long black pants that I wore with the black lace top are so much better than any I have seen in boutiques. They fit so well, look good and don't pucker or bulge.
Your couture range and race wear designs are also by far the most glamorous and outstanding garments that I have seen, worn and loved. It’s hard to believe that one person can create so many amazing glamorous outfits, but you have proven that wrong by the way your outfits stun everyone who see's them. I have been so jealous of every girl who has had the chance to wear the gorgeous green and blue haute couture dress that Rachael Finch wore in the 05 NRA finals.
Every woman who is looking for a racewear outfit that will catch the eye of every person at the races and every camera can't afford not to purchase a Karlie Jay design.
